This is so beautiful. Teenage girl leans over a well in Italy and sings Hallelujah and it sounds amazing.
Tiffany Day was traveling with her high school choir group, for spring break, from Kansas High School located in the US.
They went on an amazing trip to Italy to sing in the Italian Cathedrals along the way.
Now that is an awesome way to spend your spring break. I love it when our students get to visit and learn about other cultures. Italy is simply beautiful with so much to see. Her landscapes are magnificent. There is so much history and art here. The food and music will touch the soul.
It is said that ‘Opera has its roots in Italy and many famous operas — including “Aida” and “La Traviata,” both by Giuseppe Verdi, and “Pagliacci” by Ruggero Leoncavallo — were written in Italian and are still performed in the native language.’
For this group of choir students to get to sing in the cathedrals while on their spring break is one of those memories that will last a lifetime. And who knows where this will lead them in the future.
Tiffany Day came upon a well in one of the streets of Italy and just leaned over and started singing Leonard Cohens ‘Hallelujah’. The acoustics in this well were unexpected. In the video below just listen to how beautiful this simple act turned out to be.
